White River Credit Union offers a variety of investment products to its members.

Certificates of Deposit (CD)

A Certificate of Deposit is an interest-bearing deposit account with a fixed term. The interest rate is generally higher than a normal savings account. The minimum opening amount is $1,000.00. We offer 6 month, 12 month, and 24 month terms, as well as a special 9 month CD at a preferred rate. Interest is calculated and paid quarterly. The interest can also be rolled back into the certificate for compounding or deposited into one or your other savings accounts. Refer to our Certificate Rates for further information.

Money Market Accounts

Our Money Market Account is for members who want to earn a higher dividend on their savings without having to tie up their money in a term account (Certificate of Deposit). As required with our term accounts, the minimum balance for the Money Market Account is $1,000.00. However, the Money Market is a tiered account that is structured to pay a higher dividend as your savings grow. Refer to our Deposit Rates for dividend information.

A WRCU Money Market Account has limited checking and transfer privileges. Each money market account is allowed a total of six (6) Regulation D transactions per month. Dividends are compounded and paid monthly based on the daily balance. This account is free of monthly service charges when the minimum balance is maintained.
